Account Executive / Senior Account Executive
Business Publications Corporation (BPC) is seeking a motivated, growth minded sales professional to join the Business Record sales team.
For more than four decades, Business Record has connected Iowa's business community through journalism, events, research, recognition programs, podcasts, and executive leadership experiences. Our sales team works alongside organizations to build integrated programs that help them grow visibility, relationships, and influence across Iowa.
This is not a cold start sales role. You will step into an established territory with active client relationships, renewal opportunities, and significant room for new business development.
You will work with Iowa's leading organizations to develop integrated business development and marketing solutions that may include advertising, events, executive forums, sponsorships, content marketing, podcasts, video, research, thought leadership, and custom partnerships across the Business Publications Corporation portfolio.
What You'll Do
• Manage and grow an established territory of clients and prospects.
• Prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities.
• Develop strategic advertising, sponsorship, event, and marketing solutions that help clients achieve their goals.
• Build long term relationships with business leaders and decision makers across Iowa.
• Represent Business Record and BPC throughout the community and at events.
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of sales, business development, marketing, account management, or client relationship experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self motivation and a competitive drive to succeed.
• Ability to build trust and maintain long term business relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A growth mindset and willingness to prospect for new opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in media, advertising, marketing, sponsorship sales, business development, or consultative sales preferred.
• Existing relationships within Iowa's business community are a plus.
• Experience managing a CRM, sales pipeline, and forecasting process preferred.
• Comfortable networking and representing an organization at business and community events.
